If you like Turkish food and nature then this is the place for you! Ekotepe is a farm with a restaurant located just North of Adana on the way to Kapikaya (about an hour drive from base). It is located on top of a hillside and surrounded by beautiful mountains. The view is honestly breath-taking and a nice change of pace from the hustle and bustle of Adana. Most people that have been will agree that it is well worth the visit and a “must do” while stationed here at Incirlik.
Ekotepe’s restaurant is situated at the top of the hill and all seating is outdoors. Every seat offers a view! The restaurant serves a traditional style Turkish breakfast buffet. The brunch includes boiled eggs, omelets, a few choices of cheeses, dried fruits, jams, olives, honey, Turkish yogurt, fresh bread, tahini (a paste made from sesame seeds) and sikma (a rolled Turkish flat bread with cheese inside). Instant coffee and tea are unlimited.
Most products are said to be organic which is a plus. The cost of the brunch is 25TL on Saturdays and 30TL on Sundays for adults (15TL for children 6-12yrs and free for children 0-5yrs).

My family and I had a good time there. We went through the community center. We plan on going again on our own.
The food was good and very fresh. It’s a very traditional Turkish Breakfast, so no pancakes or bacon there.
The monkey! Yes be very careful with the monkey. He tried to steal my camera when I was taking a picture of him. The other animals are friendly.
There is a lot of nature and fresh air. It felt good to get a way from the city for a little bit.

This is very thoughtful post. As a ciaiilvn living on a military base for the first time, I’m stunned by how few of my neighbors I ever see at the train station. It seems like once I get passed Bar Row I’m in an American-free zone. Please keep promoting more interaction and enjoy Turkey. I had a week in Ankara once and I loved the city and its people.
