Hungry after shopping ’til you drop at the 5 story Daiso? Craving some Mexican food? Well, here is the place for you… Dos Tacos! Nestled in a little alley in Jongno off the Cheonggyecheon stream, it is our family’s favorite Mexican restaurant in Seoul.
The restaurant is not large, but a decent size compared to many small eateries in the city. Two floors, the downstairs houses three booths and a foosball table (which my son loves to play when we go!), and the upstairs holds quite a few tables and even a bar style counter in the center.
The menu contains your basic Mexican foods: tacos, quesadillas, burritos, chimichangas… all delicious! Their fresh tomato salsa is my favorite, and one of the reasons I like to go there! The night we went that I took these photos, my husband and I split an order of chicken quesadillas & a beef chimichanga, and our son got a cheese quesadilla. You can see that the quesadillas are served with chips. The taco plates also come with chips.
The prices are more than reasonable for the amount and quality of food. Also, as a sodaholic, I was pretty excited to find a place that has fountain drinks, and offers self-service refills for free. Score! Double bonus: at lunchtime, the soda is free with your meal!
