Prior to arriving in Adana, I read about Pastabahçesi on the Adana Adventures website. It received rave reviews from the website’s blogger, so we decided to check it out soon after we shook off the jet lag.
Located in North Adana, Pastabahçesi is known for its cakes and desserts – And wow, they are indeed delicious! They make custom order cakes, but they also have cakes ready for purchase, as well as by-the-slice cakes. My family decided to try the triple chocolate cake which was absolutely fantastic. Then after we finished our slice of cake, a sweet Turkish woman at the table next to us decided that my 3 month old needed a huge slice of her banana cream pie birthday cake. It was also equally as fabulous!
Prior to consuming a ridiculous amount of cake, we did eat a real meal. Pastabahçesi serves a very “American” type fare. It was slightly reminiscent of an Applebees or TGIFriday’s in the states. Menu items include fajitas, tacos, fettuccine alfredo, fish and chips, chicken paninis and gourmet pizzas. The food was good, but their real specialty is their desserts. I did not see any Turkish food on the menu, so if you need a break from kebabs this is your place.
The menu is in Turkish and in English. Prices for entrees range from 12-20TL. There is seating available inside and outside and there is a great playground for the kids!
