November 9, 2014 marked the 25th anniversary of of the fall of the Berlin Wall. To celebrate, brother artists Christopher and Marc Bauder placed balloons to mark where the wall once stood dividing the city. They said they wanted to mark the wall’s placement with something very different than the concrete divider. The the balloons are light and airy and allowed people to flow freely along the wall’s former locations. On that evening, the balloons were released to symbolize the fall of the wall. This time the wall of balloons rose into the air instead of concrete crashing to the ground.
