Castle Guteneck is one of the more unique Christmas markets in Germany. It opens this year for the 9th time and takes you back to medieval atmosphere. Besides great German food and the traditional Glühwein you will see knights walking around and fires set up in different places. Naturally they offer horse rides (this year they also have a camel) for the kids.
It’s a wonderful place to spend your day. When it’s snowy it gets pretty muddy, so don’t wear your nice boots! You can bring a stroller but it might be hard to get around.
If you are tired of the regular Christmas Markets and want to experience something different then Castle Guteneck is the place to go.
