First Line Hair Salon

Searching for the perfect hairstylist and salon is hard to come by, especially in a foreign country.  Where do you start your search in a big city like Adana?  There is always the convenience of the on-base salon or the many salons in the Incirlik alley that you could go to, but if you want a nicer, relaxing, pampering experience then I would recommend venturing out a little further into Adana.

My personal experience going to both an on-base salon and the alley salon didn’t go well.  However, many people have had great experiences at the mentioned salons and were very happy with services.  For me, after a bad haircut once I vowed to never have another haircut until we PCS’d back to the United States, but a Turkish friend recommended her hairstylist at First Line Kuafor Salon out near the lake.  I was hesitant to go at first, but my greys were starting to show and I needed my hair colored as soon as possible!

I decided to give First Line Salon a try and boy am I glad I did.  I got Fatih Kilicaslan as my stylist.  He used to cut & color hair in New York City for three years before moving back here to Adana.  His English is flawless, so you will not have any problems explaining to him exactly what it is that you want done to your hair.  Fatih did a great job with my color and cut, I was very pleased with the service I received.

The price was fairly reasonable, the service is awesome, and the Turkish coffee and chocolate biscuits were just the perfect added touch.  For color & cut treatment, expect to pay 70TL for just your roots, 90TL for full head color, and 30TL for a haircut.  The salon also offers eyebrow and upper lip threading for 10TL.  Their color bar offers a few different types of brands to choose from like Redkin and Organic Colour System just to name a couple.

The salon is located right on the main street of Turgut Ozal Blv. up on the second floor.  You’ll need to get buzzed into the building.  There is plenty of street parking at no charge.  I’ve never had any problems finding parking even on the weekends during their busiest times.

If you’re in need of a good cut or color, make an appointment with Fatih (he even gave me his personal cell number) #0532 700 4004. He will be more than happy to take good care of you!

I spent the afternoon at First Line today, with Fatih. He did a wonderful job, highlights, lowlights and a trim. The cost for all was 280 TL, broken down to 200TL for all over highlights, 50TL for all over lowlights and 30TL for the cut. It seemes like a lot when you first think, nearly 300, but then you consider the exchange rate, it was just a bit over $100 US for a full treatment… I’ve paid more. I wish I’d known of him sooner! Thanks Tuti, for the amazing recommendation!

I think Fatih would do a great job! I believe there have been a few people from Incirlik that have gone in to have highlights done and they have been pretty happy with the results. Fatih’s english is flawless, so you shouldn’t have any problems describing exactly what you want done. It helps when there is not language barriers! Good luck!
