I have to say, Paşalimani Bistro & Lounge is by far THE BEST restaurant in Adana! And this is coming from a seasoned foodie who’s eaten practically at most (if not every single) restaurant in and around Adana. We came across this amazing restaurant because it was conveniently located across the street from the international grocery market Serpa. We went there on a Saturday afternoon to do a little grocery shopping and our family was hungry, so we decided to give it a try.
We were pleasantly pleased with the menu choices. Paşalimani offered a great selection of European and American inspired dishes such as spring salads, pasta, sandwiches, and hardier entrée choices of grilled fish, steak, & slow roasted chicken. They do not have a kid’s menu, but your children will not have any problems finding something on the menu that they can eat and will enjoy. My daughter really loved the pasta bolognaise.
Full disclaimer: it’s definitely not on the cheap side. It really just depends on what you order. Appetizers start at 8 TL, salads 16 TL, and entrees range from 20 TL to 35 TL. However, for a nice meal it was worth every bit. We spent about 100 TL for two adults and a toddler. Oh! And that included dessert & chai!
This restaurant would also be the perfect “date night” location! There is plenty of space for larger groups as well. The service, ambiance, and décor were great. The music played in the background really sets the mood for a relaxing enjoyable experience. There is a cute little lounge area in the back of the restaurant for those evenings when you just want to enjoy cocktails and share some small plates.
Everything we ordered pictured in this article was delicious. We started our meal with some zucchini fritter appetizers, so yummy. It had melted cheese inside the fritters with every bite! The pastas were perfectly sauced (not too light and not too heavy), and the grilled fish sandwich just melted in your mouth. Of course we couldn’t leave the restaurant without ordering dessert!
The dessert menu wasn’t too shabby either. The choice for that particular day was vanilla bean crème brulee, chocolate mouse, almond pound cake, four different gelato flavors to choose from and European style cheese platter. Our family left the restaurant feeling very satisfied and full.
If you frequent North Shields or Cosecha Café on Ziyapaşa Blv, I would highly recommend giving Paşalimani a try. It is located walking distance from those two restaurants and it might just become your next favorite restaurant in town!
