Fell and Cole is an artisan ice cream store in Hongdae that makes fresh, handmade ice cream. The menu is varied, changes daily and even includes vegan options. Each day’s menu can be found on their Facebook page. Today’s choices were: Kiwi Sorbet (vegan), Just Boring Vanilla, Agave Chocolate, Perilla Leaves, Mango Chia Seed (vegan), Makgeolli, Scarlet Rosewater, Carrot Cake, Yeon Nam Blues, Pineapple Cayenne (vegan).

While it is slightly more expensive than some other more well known ice cream store chains, the quality is superb, the flavors are anything but boring and the serving size is generous. They are also more than happy to let you try out a few flavors before you make up your mind. Our group eventually decided on the makgeolli, pineapple cayenne and mango and chia seeds. The makgeolli was creamy and tasted exactly like a frozen version of my favourite korean drink while the mango and pineapple were more like a sorbet and were both mouth-wateringly fresh.

You can choose to either take your ice cream to go or take a seat on one of their cozy chairs inside.
